FREEDOM

Humans are born free. They always have the desire to live life as it unfolds. The norms and customs of society and bindings and obligations of religion appear as mechanism to bind and restrict them to some sort of duties. They feel that such desire of absolute freedom does not exist. Freedom of society, race or group of people is dependent on the interest of a group who governs. Total society has to bend and obey those rules shaming the name and concept of freedom. Therefore, to look for freedom is blunder. In time and ages such thoughts must have evolved and died. Tried and failed ---- the civilization must have given these thoughts an opportunity but have failed. Humans are stuck with the monster that they created -- FREEDOM

SIMPLY SIMPLE
Simply Simple!

Simply simple-----could be heard amongst researchers on a project, students on coming examination, soldiers before the battle, police on a chase, and of the least politician unnecessarily. Simply simple, though is said in very simple terms. But, in reality those who are involved with the task in hand to complete don’t see that as simple. What is simple? Unsophisticated, crude, can be manipulated, one has good understanding of the mechanism of the thing---can be taken for sure. This could be as simple as an ant bite. The small swelling mark, saucer shaped reddish color with allergic reaction, irritating the skin and you knowingly have to scratch. When one asks, what has happen? You just point and answer---Ant. The word ant simply flashes a sequence of actions through the mind of the observer. The sound Oouch when it bites, scratching and burning sensation of the affected spot. The word ant also includes the action of the bite. The whole procedure is so simply simple.
Things that one is sure off, appears as simple to that individual. It could also mean that, anything that is guaranteed is simply simple. The only guarantee that life gives is ‘DEATH’, a very simple matter indeed. Death is an action causing transition of life to the other phase. It’s a completion of action at one end and the start at the other. So, simply simple. Simple is when a political leader commits nepotism and faces criticism. He says, one was to be employed and one has been employed. The worst is right of a rightful individual is deprived, a system is flouted, a law is violated and all his staffs swallow there moral stand. It’s that simple. It could also be a case of a single mother. She is desperately trying to get her child enrolled in the school. Society here does not question her action----but rules a decision for father’s name (some changes appear as glimpses on the far end of the tunnel). This could be understood to be a necessity requirement of the society to identify the blood line. It’s so simply simple. The blood line that is essential to identify your caste and clan. To provide privilege or deprive from one, to allow one to climb the ladder of success and tie down the other to hold that same ladder. A simple task. Or this could be the society’s way of enforcing identifiable man-woman relationship or simple society has made a decision of trusting the male members! This looks so simple.
Simple matters of daily life keeps us busy throughout the day. Strain of the job, threat of the boss, sharing of the colleagues and the responsibilities back home, is what makes life so simple and alive. To be alive you need to work really hard to make a living, this involves, shelter, clothing, food and providing for relationship, like wife, children’s, parents. That’s simple. So, it’s simply simple to be alive!

Leading Question?

No Leading Question, this is observed as a principle in interrogation of an accused or from the potential source for information. Leading question is the theme of Journalism, to extract information. These two opposite ways for seeking information may look weird, but both have a purpose—to extract the truth.
In the first instance of ‘No Leading Question’, the information is sought after filtering off all the available happenings in relation to the particular case. Filtration is done to separate facts from fiction. In this case the common platform for the interrogation is, the accused got time to concoct a lethal mixture of truth and lies and a well laid out plan. This could happen when he came out of the shock of being detected. The body and the evil brain gears up its defensive measure. The accused to smoke in his crime, relates necessary and unnecessary incidents with the issue. He desperately tries to fog the real happenings—seeking to establish a safe alibi. He creates a front with mapped out routes pointing towards a safe exit. The technique adopted by the interrogators is to throw in circulation measures to blow the fog and discover the truth. The circulation is achieved by checking and counters checking on the story. In this way the laid trap made by the accused can be avoided, truth is unfolded and justice is done.

However, to sequence the case is to draw attention to a conclusion as viewed by the reporter. In this case repeated broadcasting also does the same evil—gets the viewers biased. Some may even take strong views of the issue thus depriving the individual of a fair trial, justice could be denied. This may be reversed for the first case – where related facts should be sequenced to come to a logical decision, sorted from the fog of incident. So, basically in time and off time case dealing art, both trying to unveil the truth.

Loyalty Catch

Loyalty often used term in the circle of politics and in organizational set up. It means adherence to the norms and procedure laid out to complete a given task. Though, loyalty in politics and in an organization may differ in its basic meaning. But the general sense would remain the same. In the political arena loyalty is related to individuals’ personal attachment on principle basis. It could also mean that one must take the other as unquestioned leader. Should obey in execution of a task, must not ask questions and should not talk to media or other members of the group. It is that strict code of life that one has to stake his life to prove his or her loyalty. It not only means personal attention to the leader, it is in thought as well. Loyalty also could mean to give unbiased assessment. To bring to the notice what no others have brought for the decision making process. It also should be understood, a loyal person in this case – if taken positively has the responsibility to express happenings to the leader in positive terms in relation to the would be decision. It remains the prerogative of the leader to accept or reject the notion. But it remains my obligation. This is loyalty. Loyalty is also related to trust. One would tend to believe that the other would maintain silence on an issue until resolved. The feeling of one’s rear is guarded in presence of the other is the loyalty. This also brings in the faith and believes. To have faith, is to trust to believe in, in summary to rely! Synopsis loyalty. This realm is not only related to political society, but has to manifest in the areas where leader and led situation exists.
Organizational loyalty relates to the generic sense of adhering to the laws and norms of the system. Going through the procedure of the work. To maintain the ways of working as has been handed over to the worker. Here loyalty works in groups. This is in relation to the working atmosphere, and to the assigned task. This loyalty is directly proportional to personal development, in position, finance and authority. It seeks to act and work to achieve power and authority. As discussed it revolves around the group philosophy. Advancement of the group—means own advancement. As an example, a seller advertising and vouching on the authenticity and price of the product is in the interest of the organization—not the buyer. More products are sold, more flow of finance, making more bonus available in the end of the month for all. The penalty is paid here by the buyer. In general sense a seller should remain loyal towards the customer or the buyer. However, this is never the case. In such cases there is absence of believe and trust. The sense of not being cheated does not exist here. Customer invariably feels cheated either on quality or on price. In this case of loyalty the situation of leader and led does not exist. Here, live and let live is the order of the day.

Where are we Corrupt then???
Where are we Corrupt then???

Corruption—A highly saleable word under all governments. People are accustomed hearing this term in there day to day conversations. General masses do not react by raising eye brows, as if something untouchable has occurred. Masses have even forgotten to ascribe it as a crime of the society. It has been taken as a way of life within our society. A whole some encompassing term. The term has been related specifically with the third world countries. It for that does not mean that the first and the second worlds do not have this in there society. In all societies masses feel the affect of corruption in different magnitude. The affect can be felt from the highest authority to the end destination-grave. It’s survival solely depends on the scarcity of resource, manipulation of law and disrespect for others. To deal with this situation great Organizations have come up to do profitable business on the issue. They intend to circulate the meaning of this term, discuss it’s evil affect and consequences at individual level. The business starts with allotment of funds, expenditure in travel and allowances, claiming compensation for the time spent to collate and assess measures to grade countries and governments.
The other groups in the race arrange for seminars to discuss on the modalities to fight this evil-corruption. These groups spend days together from morning to night—discussing on the issue to go to it’s roots. Now to bell the cat is the issue, meaning curing through the roots. For plant Kingdome root means base. Labyrinth of roots providing food and nourishment to the body. Provides strong foot hold, to withstand winds and storms, floods and rain. In a system of corruption which means opposite to what root means in the plant kingdom. Moreover, in this case root means the head –up to down and the natures way—down to up. Therefore to tag root in such case as root cause is inappropriate and improper. Now dear readers, to deal with any cure for the system you have to have proper weapon to deal with. It could me physical, theoretical, medication or systematic approach. Without identifying proper weapon, call for fight, is only making gesture without hoping for the result. Then in this case the call for fight issued by the seminar or organization are only intentions against the system which remains encapsuled in time.
Others come down heavily on dealing with corruption—system change is there ‘war cry’. The demands reverberates throughout the forum. We all give voice to the cry, by the way, what do you think this could mean? What is the system? What changes are we expecting within the running system? For the sake of discussion let’s proceed with a generic official procedure. The process starts with an initiator, who is essential to initiate an issue for resolve. He submits his request in writing to the concerned office. The received request now needs to be registered and sorted basing on the subject matter. This phase is the lowest strata of decision process. We must keep in mind here, that a major activity is going to take place—which will decide it’s future course of action. In this stage the concerned officer to deal with the request is selected. Tragedy unfolds now, because to process the case an input is necessary in relation to the existing policy on the issue. Here the most important individual is the clerk, having specialized for a long period in the same office. His ways of putting in perspective will matter in drawing result positively or negatively. The officer being often rotated to adhere to the policy of fixed period posting. The officer with a colorful towel thrown over the synthetic upholstered revolving and swiveling chair gives him an aura of pseudo ego of all knowing. Do you have any idea why officers spread towels on the back of their chairs? It’s like throwing in towel during boxing bout by the coach—sign of surrender. Now the signature of the officer on the note forwarded by the clerk validates it for the next stage processing.
The clerk now grabs the opportunity and requests the initiator to arrange “speedup system” resources. A good move indeed, because we still have the colonial British system of functioning. Initiator should not see the British officer in person, buffer was in place to give the British officer an atmosphere of demi-god like. In this particular case also, direct access to the officer may cause “SARKAR BAHADUR”-the officer, to negate the whole effort. A disaster for all the effort made so far-not worth it. Instead the initiator grease the clerk for activating the system for “speed move of the request”. The concions of the clerk is clear. The grease is his rightful due. He has put in his experience and knowledge behind this whole effort. A thinking akin to an intellectual. We are still in the stage of the clerk and junior officer. The process is ripe now to move across the corridor to another building and the guy responsible for this activity is PEON (authorize carrier of the document).
This guy, the authorize carrier thinks that the initiator is going to make much gain out of it. Therefore, he feels that he has some right of privilege associated with it. Till now did we come across any corrupt practices? It’s in the way of thinking more then in reality. The project has had all experience of travel and have ultimately reached the second height level before finally getting the sanction seal. This stage is for bargaining—here the value of the project and the fund available in this particular head is tallied. The initiator has to now recast some of the endorsement in the original document. This effort to the initiator is perfectly within the norm, as he needs his sanction. To the officer or bargainer at this stage it’s right, as the particular head has an allotted amount which is more then what is need to complete the task. More over due to observation in the early stages of this paper much time was lost. Now we are nearing the end of a fiscal year. It would be difficult to return the money. If, returned then in the coming year we may be deprived of this allotment, how would this office benefit? Such serious question initiates more queries then it answers. The gentleman therefore, has no other option but to bag the surplus amount of this project.
As the fund will be drawn by the initiator. It is his responsibility to pay the amount to the bargainer for reimbursement in the chain. The amount being huge, and likely to be played in any sting operations. Thus, the cash is absorbed into denominations of green bucks from the black market. A genuine pro nationalist behavior. He can be called a true nationalist for bringing green buck in circulation in international accounts. This also symbolizes progress?? Would you call this corruption? Such a great success calls for celebration, the celebration is to celebrate the bonding of the new chain in the system. The whole process has brought the friendly bond of peon to the boss in harmony. This would require no further fine tuning. The work efficiency will increase in the days ahead. The family members of the chain can enjoy holidays in dream land and the bosses can connive to get involved in another set of operations
So we can now defend in saying that all the process involved from discussion, seminars, system change cry and the creation of the chain of efficiency is all for efficiency. Where are we corrupt then?????

Life's Play
Life’s Play

Life’s Play---Life often plays games with you. You have to know the time and sequence of the game played. It could start at any moment without your knowledge. You must be very relaxed and looking for a lovely time with your family. To make the situation a memorable one you also invites few friends. Your wife comes and for nothing blames you to have not informed her and consulted the guest list. You are now singled out as an individual with self interest. You are tagged to have an affair with one of the invites, who happens to be close friend. Wives have never handled this part of their husband’s life with softness and understanding. Rather this side gave birth to the violent side of your wife. The women in life cannot comprehend that a situation of such friend ship can exist. May be there is a chemical signal initiation at both end i.e. ladies. Wife feels why husband has to have sympathy from another woman as a friend---she feels that the association is bonding into male female affair. Her logic sees another woman as a challenger in the system of natural law. When eye contact between the wife and your friend happens, the language of sight for both do not obey the same laws. Wife feels that the other woman is saying—I have your husband at the end of string and I can play at my leisure. Where as wife’s eye signals please leave my man. Life’s Play---Life often plays games with you. You have to know the time and sequence of the game played. It could start at any moment without your knowledge. You must be very relaxed and looking for a lovely time with your family. To make the situation a memorable one you also invites few friends. Your wife comes and for nothing blames you to have not informed her and consulted the guest list. You are now singled out as an individual with self interest. You are tagged to have an affair with one of the invites, who happens to be close friend. Wives have never handled this part of their husband’s life with softness and understanding. Rather this side gave birth to the violent side of your wife. The women in life cannot comprehend that a situation of such friend ship can exist. May be there is a chemical signal initiation at both end i.e. ladies. Wife feels why husband has to have sympathy from another woman as a friend---she feels that the association is bonding into male female affair. Her logic sees another woman as a challenger in the system of natural law. When eye contact between the wife and your friend happens, the language of sight for both do not obey the same laws. Wife feels that the other woman is saying—I have your husband at the end of string and I can play at my leisure. Where as wife’s eye signals please leave my man. Therefore, wife has reason to feel humiliated and rejected. This will surely give rise to tornado within. This special human condition between man and woman must be understood by the man.

LIFE AND LIVES

Life is said to go through stages. What exactly stands for stage here or stage? Life is played on the stage of world in stages. Most confusing, yet so normal and natural in our thought process. We often say when one goes through ups and downs of life that he is going through a stage meaning phase. These stages comes as a routine as normal as a class routine of a school going child. We do not look on the side of life seriously and moreover, take it as granted. We know very well that life cannot be taken as granted. Life in a way is a chance, a wonderful gift an accident which brought you here. With any thought that brought you here is with a guarantee that there will be death visiting at your door step soon. The short span of life that we spend here on earth is through struggle. Very day you are borne, sickness, your fragility keeps you weak. As a child going through school you often wonder how difficult it is to grow up. You start feeling that a grownup has all the independence. They do not have to answer except to self. You feel that you have all the obligations and responsibility. Because you have to do your homework in time to submit in time to the teacher. The elders do not have to be so precise. It is the process of life to build, chiseled and polish you to bear the responsibilities which are forth coming. Life has a life of its own. The Soule held within the body it appears needs to be taught and pass through experience of a particular moment for its enrichment. These experiences add up as strength of that particular Soule. Basing on these experience and knowledge, probable the hand of fate gives you a part to play on the stage of this world.
Biologically we know that all living body ages and wears out after a period of time. Different animals have different life span. Some lives surprisingly very long, may be from about 300 years to 500 years even more in cases of trees. Some in this universe have very short life span of fraction of a unit. That only indicates how wonderfully all things have been laid in balance. With this perfect balance we all are in harmony but not independent. We all have to obey some rules of nature to maintain this harmony. Without which this balance will be lost and disaster strikes. Homo sapiens have manipulated with so much of this balance factor that now they have to pay dearly. Now as we were discussing on the biological nature of maturity of life means that our body cells do have a life cycle. It only means that these cells mature and die to make way for the new cells to grow and mature. A wonderfully tickling insight sense. If we now ascribe a period for the cells life span then we may make out some assumption on human behavior changes that occurs from time to time. May be I read somewhere that our body cell life span is of about 7 years. Each 7th year means complete overhaul. It could then mean that we could repair cell damage every 7th year and be ever living. Well this blessing is not made by the nature. So, on the basis of 7 year cycle we could layer out our lives in stages, first state is up to 7th year, second stage up to 14th year third stage up to 21st year so on. If one lives up to 100 years of age. That individual will be going through approximately 14 stages of life. In each phase the individual change in character and approach to life also changes. Now you could justify many of the actions of men and women that occur to surprise you as unexpected.
Life also can be classified on experience basis. This could be carefree childhood stage followed by schooling years then your university days. Armed with all this, one enters the stage of employment and earning leading to management of life and separation from parents. A stage which makes one feels the sense of independence. If in this stage success unfolds then he/she looks for partnership through contract of marriage. This stage leads one in an unknown domain. An area which in true sense teaches back life to the individual. Here sense of sharing develops, responsibilities creep in and liabilities multiply. Then when you have children’s a wonderful stage of life begins. A stage you cherish most at this moment. We walk the lanes of memories and try to give them all that was deprived to you. You dream to make the children see through your eyes as you start feeling that they are your parts. The sense of ever living, immortality is felt as you see yourself living through them. This could be one reason for the feelings that is shown by the grand parents. They see already two generation in their life time and feel immortal about that.
Karma of life starts it’s effect, when the children’s with their family curve a space from your family and starts living separately. Cutting out on your space comes as a shock and hemorrhage of life starts, draining you of the vital force. Slowly you withdraw and build a cocoon around you and your known family, the wife. Both maintain balance of peace and cordiality. Peculiarities of individuals are forgiven and for a short span you have haven within. This feeling is due to the natures assigned task fulfillment. The task of life –The Procreation. Any one not within this phase may not feel the contentment as the one who has completed the assigned task of life. What could be your thoughts on life???

CORE VALUE OF BANGLADESH

Uniquely, the specialty of this nation is embedded in the name itself. Bangladesh----A unique and a special name. A name which reflects language Bangla. A place where Bangla is widely spoken and understood. A place where colour, creed or faction is not very important then the language and culture. Such, unique places are very rare in the context of present world. This could appear to some as a surprise as it did with me untill I realized the true meaning. Since, liberation, there has been ongoing debates on the core value of Bangladesh. In discussions I have heard nearly always the word religion coming up as one of the core issues. The religion on a quick sense appeals as a core value of Bangladesh, but that notion vanishes as soon the liberation scenario comes in picture. It was a case of Muslim being liberated from Muslims. Therefore, religion for Bangladesh cannot be its core value. If not religion, for which core value Bangladesh is likely to declare war. Land encroachment, well there has been some encroachment done on the land of Bangladesh. The country did not react by declaring war; rather the case is discussed for amicable solution in time. Then, there can be an issue of water may be? Bangladesh is known as the land of rivers and canals. The life style of the people is much dependent on water and the major cities are located on the banks of the rivers. People of Bangladesh are dependent on the water not only as a life giver, but for the transportation of goods and people, fertilization of the soil and to maintain an ecosystem they are so accustomed too. There are about 700 channels encompassing, rivers, canals, and all the tributaries. A fantastic figure running through the length and breath of the country as arteries goes through the human body. It gives life to the nation, maintains the climatic condition so peculiar and unique for the ecosystem in particular, provides alluvial soil after each flood, which is so necessary to have hyper production in agricultural products to provide food for so many mouths. This also recharges our underground water system and replenishes surface water system. Alas, the misfortune of this nation is that its immediate neighbor nearly dammed all the inflowing rivers thus choking the life and ecosystem of the lower riparian—Bangladesh. This caused fall in level of underground water level giving rise to arsenic concentration. Arsenic caused poisoning of all life forms especially rural population—who are the simplest people of all. Many died a cursed death. Many families have been destroyed due to this affect. Process of procuring water (pure) have become costlier and difficult. In the villages after days work the general population infected with arsenic poising lick their wounds painfully counting days to meet death. These all did not evoke the urge to declare war, that means that this cannot be the core issue for this nation. Then do we have any issue that could be still lying ideal. Well it could be then trade and commerce with the neighbor, without going into much facts and figure of this issue; it can only be pointed to make an assumption. The huge trade imbalance in favour of India has not yet activated the urge to defend a value----a Core Value. Then the question still lingers on, what is our core value? This nation has always reacted to the issues of language, culture and traditions. The people of Bangladesh are proud of their heritage. There has been an effort by the people to protect the cultural values of the society. The younger generation, present students of colleges and universities have made it their prime responsibility to guard and cultivate. They celebrate bangle New Year more vigorously then 31st Dec, celebration of 21st Feb is jealous then any other occasion. This proudly makes Bangladesh the fore bearer in making all mothers proud by calling this day by the UN as International Mother Language Day. What an achievement for such a small nation. Secessions of cultural evenings are the most frequented place in Bangladesh with whole family. All members enjoy the out come in equal proportion; this only indicates that the projected values of this secession are acceptable to all members. Therefore, it can now be said that value attached with language and culture is more close to the heart of the people of Bangladesh. Does that mean that this nation’s core value should be looked some where here????
